I want to ride my bicycle.‏

Those famous words sung by Queen are now being fulfilled here is Asahikawa! It has finally warmed up enough for us to ride our bikes! There are sidewalks in places I never knew because the snow was obstructing their existence.
So this week, since last pday, has been good! We are continuing to knock on a million doors looking for the Lord`s prepared people. And searching. And praying. And seeking. But, they are out there I know it! It just takes some work!
We taught our investigator Masae San, who has a date for the 18th of April. We taught her about eternal marriage and the temple and family history work. Her husband recently passed away and when we told her she could be with him forever she was soooo happy! That is why I am here! To give people the same happiness that I have received from this gospel!
We also went to the far away place called Higashikawa. It takes forever to get there. But, it was beautiful and springy and we were able to meet and teach a couple of investigators.
I also really love this ward. Recently the bishopric and missionaries have began to work really hard together, and we are already seeing the benefits!
I have fallen in love with the people here. No, I am still not sure what they are saying 50% of the time, and no they are not sure what I am attempting to say 75% of the time, but language is neither a barrier to the Spirit nor love!
Easter is this week! Hurray! They do nothing here in Japan for Easter, dang it. But, I hope you all have a wonderfull easter and can take a few minutes to remember our Savior Jesus Christ. I testify that He lives! Because of that we can too, with the ones we love!
I love you all, having a wonderful week!

Hey everyone! Made it through the transfer! It is a miracle.
So Barr Shimai and I did not get transfered! I will finish up her training here in good old Asahikawa!
We got to go to Sapporo this week for iPad training! Except we still have no iPads... But thats ok because the conference was amazing! I am so lucky to be a missionary here and receive so much training. Not just for a mission or an iPad, but for the rest of my life!
Recently we have been doing a lot of finding. Just knocking on every door looking for the Lord`s elect. We found a man named Tanaka San a few weeks ago and last night we were able to make a baptism date with him! He is super prepared! Our other investigator Masae San has been keeping the Word of Wisdom which we are so happy about because she is also preparing for baptism!
Sorry, I dont have much this week. But, I love this gospel and I know miracles happen everyday. They are the small tender mercies that sometimes we skip over.
I love you all and hope you have a great week!
I got to go on splits with Osugi Shimai in Sapporo!!

 I love seeing these beauties!

We loooove okonomiyaki! (Delicious cabbage pancakes basically)

From the mouth of Beans‏

Super sorry I have noooo time!
But sometimes my bean says hilarious things to me like
`You make me feel like a child born out of wedlock!`
and
`Wow! Your kanji is looking really good!` When in reality a member wrote it in my planner.
This week was super crazy super hard but super good! Of course we saw lots of miracles!!! We also went on splits with the STLS which was superb!
Today we did a music concert at the Snow Museum. It is a magical place that makes you feel like your are Queen Elsa.
Transfer calls are tomorrow! Me and Barr Shimai will probably stay together! Yippeee!
I love you all sorry this email sucks!
Keep the faith!
Love Sister Kempner

Mawwage is what bwings us together today

I don`t think time is a real thing anymore. It is already March! This transfer is almost over. Crazy!
So this week we had Mission Tour. We got to go to Sapporo and hear from Elder Ringwood of the Seventy. It was a really cool experience. I also had the opportunity to have an interview with him. I was real nervous, but he was so kind and gave me really good advice!
We found a new investigator this week. Her Name is Nakao San and she fed us sushi, so that was good. We gave her the BOM which was even better! We also had to say goodbye to Haewon Shimai. She is on her way back to Korea. It was super sad, but I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to know her!
We also got to go to a members wedding party. Weddings are super different in Japan. This one was really low key. Unfortunatley, the missionaries had to sing at the wedding. I am no Whitney Houston let`s just say that. But, he got baptized last transfer so they are planning on going to the temple in a year! Wahoo! Temple marriages are the best! What an amazing gift we have to be sead to our families for time and all eternity!
Last night a super cute old couple in our ward fed us dinner and we got to do calligraphy. It was cool! I suck, but hey who cares!
Anyway, I have seen so many miracles this transfer! I can`t believe it is almost over.
I love you all and hope you have a good week!
Love, Sister Kempner
Got to see these lovely sisters at Mission Tour!

What a Week!‏

First let me just say...BAPTISM!
Our korean investigator Haewon San got baptized on Saturday and was confirmed a member of the church on Sunday!
So monday, gave myself a haircut...
Tuesday our phone broke...
Wednesday we tried to fix our phone and try to find a payphone. Those things are in the strangest places here in Japan. We searched and searched forever! Turns out there is a payphone one street over from our apartment...
Thursday met this super cool old investigator who speaks english. She loves the missionaries and will do anything for them! Except join the church haha...
Friday finally a normal day...
Saturday- So we didn`t have Haewon San`s number written down and since out phone was broken we weren`t able to contact her. So I got her address from my old comp and we treked out to her apartment that morning to talk to her. She wasn`t there... so we left her a note. I don`t know if I have ever prayed so much. She is amazing, but the week before a baptism Satan really works on everyone so we were worried about her! We go to the church to get ready for her baptism which started at 5. She finally showed up at 430. I was so grateful and relieved! She had to go under twice, haha, but she said she was happy because the first time was too fast. After the baptism she fed us a SUPER good vegetarian meal at her apartment.
Sunday she received the gift of the Holy Ghost, it was super cool because she got it in English and she was just so happy after. Also two other investigators came to church! We were really suprised because one of them really doesn`t like coming. We didn`t even ask him this week he just showed up!
So this week was super crazy and super stressful. It is true that right before you see blessing the adversary works really hard against you. Heavenly Father also tries our faith. But, it is because of these experiences that we become stronger. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a missionary!
I Love you all and hope you have a great week!
