The Challange To Become.

You know, I never understood the parable of the laborers in the
vineyard. The one where they all come at different times, but get the
same pay? In my mind I'm thinking. Hey! That's not fair I've worked
harder then everyone else but I get the same pay? And Christ tells us
that is a sinful way to think. So crap. But I finally figured it out!
Elder Oaks gives an awesome e talk called The Challenge to Become this
is how he explains it.

Like other parables, this one can teach several different and valuable
principles. For present purposes its lesson is that the Masterfs
reward in the Final Judgment will not be based on how long we have
labored in the vineyard. We do not obtain our heavenly reward by
punching a time clock. What is essential is that our labors in the
workplace of the Lord have caused us to become something. For some of
us, this requires a longer time than for others. What is important in
the end is what we have become by our labors.

So yup. I get it now.
Anyway! We got three goaches this week! Wahoo. A goach is when the
members feed you. Not sure why it is called that, but ya. The work is
still kind of slow here. We are trying to focus and help the
investigators we progress. We are also trying to improve our
relationship with the ward and find new people. But, all is well! I
can't believe it is June already! Time is flying. I hope you are all
enjoying your lives. The weather finally changed! Bam in one day it
went from like 60 degrees to 85 wahoo! I'm already getting some nice
tan lines!
Love you all.

Spring in Japan

So! Last Monday we got to go to the Zoo with our district! It was fun! But zoos also kind of make me sad. Let the animals goooooo! Also went on Splits with the STLs this week. Way fun. Learned a lot.
Of course. We went and visited our investigator with a baptismal date. Her name is Saeki San. I LOVE her! It is kind of crazy the amount of love you can have for people you just met. I can't magine how much Heavenly Father loves all of us! Anyway, she didn't want the Book of Mormon anymore because crazy things happened every time she read it. But somehow we were able to explain that Satan is really working against her because she is so ready for the gospel. We also talked a lot about the Spirit. She seemed ok with it all and said she will read it again wahoo! She will be baptized. That was my miracle of the week! I hope you are all doing good. I love you all and hope you know  Heavenly Father really loves all of us too that is why we are here!Face throwing a kiss 愛しています Kempner 姉妹

Learning Humility

This week was of course full of miracles! We made lots of appointments with different people and  it was super fun. People are amazing. Everyone has a story and their lives are so full. I feel so blessed to get to know these people and invite them to Christ. I've learned this week from my dear sweet companion how important humility is. We can't do anything by ourselves. We need to put our trust in the Lord. Through him we can do anything! Love you all. Please enjoy this picture of a Hello Kitty bus. Only in Japan would this happen. Oh I also got my Alma O Taylor Pin which is this program
thing we have to make you a better missionary so wahoo!

Hey everyone! Happy Mothers Day! Just wanted to give a quick shout out to all the moms out there. Especially my mom! I love you mom and you have made me who I am today! Thank you! Things are dandy here in Asahikawa. I love working with Wallwork Shimai. She is a dendo beast! We have so much fun together. We are really working on finding the Lords elect. Also met my first anti Mormon investigator. He has written a few books. It's fine. Not sure what will happen with him but he made us

Mate!‏

This week was transfers! Aaaaannnnnndddddd...
I stayed here in good old Asahikawa! But my new companion is Wallwork Shimai! She is my "mission sister" . She was trained by my trainer or mission mom therefore we are literally sister, sister missionaries. Also we have had all of the same companions so it was meant to be. She was born in New Zealand and moved to Australia. She says things like mate all the time. She is suuuuper hilarious and we just have fun together! She is way bold and I know we are going to see heaps of
miracles this transfer! Friday was the best birthday ever because we were able to make a baptism date with a new investigator. Her name is Saeki San. She is 32 has 2 little kids and told us she loves to party haha. But she is super prepared so wahoo! We are still just looking for the elect here. But it is warm so that makes housing way easier. Well I love you all and hope you have a good week!
